Egyptian Playing Cards

For this project, I took the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses and illustrated their characters in different forms to make playing cards. Osiris, Lord of the Underworld is the King; Isis, goddess of healing and motherhood, is the Queen; Horus, protector of the sun and sky, is the Jack; Set, God of storms and chaos, and Apophis, a serpent demon, are the Jokers. The Aces represent different phases of the sun and sky. The back of the card is a Scarab with different Egyptian symbols. Instead of using the cards to play a game, players are engaging with the concepts and taking a journey through Egyptian cosmology.
